We reached the goal of the next day, the Ilha de Itaparica before the bay of Salvador, on time with sunset. An Aero Club has its homebase on this island. At Aero Clubs we met supporting and friendly pilots everywhere, who helped us and looked after our airplane. Sometimes a transport to a Pousada in a private car was organized.
We were taken with the open kind and warmth of the Brazilians!
The next day a sightseeing tour of the Cidade Alta (Colonial upper city) of Salvador stood on the program.
Many historical churches and buildings could be admired.
Capoeira dancers showed their arts on one of the places.
We got used to the sun and heat of Brazil bit by bit.
In the evening the landlady of the Pousada invited us to a fish stew with coconut sauce. It tasted excellently.
The next morning a friend of the president of the Aero Club gave us a lift to the airport
and he supplied us still with fruits, avocados...!

Without chat no good-bye happens, it can last a longer time.
